It's just stupid. I really don't know how to explain it, it's just so "simple".
Also, I don't want to come off as an anti-beatle, I just hate some of Paul's solo work. Otherwise, he's a great songwriter/singer/bassist/guitarist/trumpeter/drummer/pianist!
Hate is such a strong word!

It's on Ram, and was a single too. I love the first half, but the second, oh dear…
Oh, I rather liked it!

Well the rain exploded with a mighty crash as it fell into the sun. The first one said to the second one there, "I hope you're having fun!"

OfflineI noticed that the remastered version is available on Amazon for preorder, and will be released November 2nd (US & UK). Anyone order it yet? I'll have to wait for my next paycheck.

Holy Cow. I'll have to start saving a lot of money for this, Lennon's remasters and my trip to London. And all these with Mexican pesos.
BTW Does anybody get the feeling that the Beatles remasters were a very, but very good business??
Yes. Just before Neil Aspinall died he was replaced as head of Apple by Jeff Jones, who had previously been a head of reissues at Sony. Jones' attitude was the polar opposite of Aspinall's, which was essentially "I'm going to say no to everything to protect the legacy of The Beatles".
Although he was with The Beatles right from the early days, in the end Aspinall was clearly the wrong man for the job. Jones sped up the reissues and will doubtless be thinking about other ways to market The Beatles – there's bound to be plenty more coming out in the future. The Beatles' remasters and the Apple Records reissues are just the start.

Lennon remasters, McCartney remasters. My anniversary and birthday are both in November. After that, Xmas is right around the corner.
It's time I started throwing the hints around to my loving, compassionate, generous family - the type of family a guy can feel incredibly lucky to be a member of.
Oh, wait. They don't log on to this forum.
Uh..gotta go – got some phone calls to make.

Amazon wishlist, perhaps?
I've pre-ordered my John Lennon signature box from Amazon.co.uk. I'm holding off getting any of the McCartney remasters because I'm waiting to see if they'll do a box set for him, possibly with outtakes etc. Also, George Harrison died in November 2001, and I'm wondering if they're keeping an eye on how the Lennon reissues go, and will go the same way next year.

No doubt Joe. When I am ready to order, it will be via this site. Gotta keep the Bible going!
I truly hope there will be a McCartney box set sometime soon with an eye toward a Harrison set next year.
Wow – I'll be 47 and I sound like a teenager in the 60's waiting for that next Beatles album to come out.
I seem to recall you saying in these pages before that Mrs. Joe is some type of analyst, correct? Does she have a site that helps people like me? Some type of support group perhaps? When is the next meeting?

People like you? I don't think we're all that different, and believe me she's got her hands full dealing with my obsessions.
She's a clinical psychologist. We don't use the term analyst over here, but I suppose it's a similar thing. Psychology and psychiatry are quite different though – she doesn't prescribe medicines to deal with people's issues.

OfflineBand On the Run is one of Paul's best solo songs
I wish I had a job so I actually can afford the box sets right away. Has anybody ordered the 3 CD DVD book Version of The remaster? I really want it.
I've been sent the 2CD/DVD set, got it last night. I'm putting together a review, and am writing features on each of the nine songs on the original album. Haven't watched the DVD yet apart from the Mamunia video.
It's a nice package, v well put together, but I don't think I'd pay £50 more for a 120-page hardback book and another audio CD. I did ask for the super deluxe version but the PR people didn't have any.
