And this, too. They all crack me up to pieces here, but John, in a dress…

It's so funny, we really need to see it twice!

How about '67 John, the accordion player!

My favorite year of John would have to be 1966. He looked amazing then, and his creativity level was at an all time high. Also my favorite year of music by him. But 1965 is very close behind.

I don't think it's been derailed. That badly, anyways.:)

I love the very beginning where he smiled with that blackened tooth, and answers Paul in that deep gruff voice.

One of my favorite John-isms (paraphasing from memory only)…

Reporter: “There are some in Detroit that are protesting your impending arrival saying your haircuts are un-American. How do you respond to that?”

John (without skipping a beat): “They're very observant beacause we're not from America.”

The following people thank Zig for this post:

Is that the same one where Paul says they have a plan to stamp out Detroit?

We do re-enactments at our house.

“Not a word, not a word– SHUT UP– not a word….”

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

What a coincidence – those are the exact words I hear when I raise my index finger with the words “I told you so” at the ready.

Ha, the mention of the raised index finger reminds me of the look Paul gave to the people who yelled out “Go Back To Liverpool!”

Musically wise, I am actually a fan of his drug induced period.  Tomorrow Never Knows , Rain , Lucy (I know, not about drugs, but the imagery is very LSD like), She Said She Said .  Etc.   I do enjoy his post Beatles persona a lot though.  The Anti-war, equality in his songs and all.

I love John though.  There arent any of his phases I dont like.

Me too! me too!

And yes “Lucy… ” has nothing to do with drugs (blink)

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

oh, um… yeah, '66 John I guess. Mostly cause I adore Revolver and he made some awesome music at that time (but when does he not?) a-hard-days-night-john-6

Hmmmm…. I like fat Elvis John in '65/'66 and I like '70 John. I loved his whole let's cure the world with peace movement.

Not needed but throwing it out there:

I like '64/'65 Ringo and a bit late '68/ early '69.

I like '64/'65 Paul.

I like every George except '67 and '69 and his “I look like Jesus” phase. 1968 was a wonderful year for George.

1965 was a good year for them.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

I always liked 65' John and 67' John.
