You all know you quote I’m talking about, right?

I Googled the quote but I couldn’t find a source and I was wondering, is there any proof that John Lennon actually said this?
I'm sitting here, doing nothing but aging.

Offline Actually, I’m not so sure. Lennon was moved to Mimi at the age of five (if I remember correctly), so the dates aren’t automatically wrong. Any other proof? Because the quote sounds perfectly Lennonesque to me.

Me too! My mom likes to tell the tale that I taught myself to read with Peanuts. I always picked Peanuts books for them to read to me and one time I just took over reading it myself, I was 4.
On topic: Would even a precocious 5 year old think to answer back “you don’t understand life”? John still could have said (as an adult) that he said it (as a 5yo) even if he was just making it up – but the fact that he didn’t say it has been established. Just adding another thought…
