To a degree, I can understand the need for some type of noise control at places like SF in Central Park. Think of it this way. What if you were in NYC on vacation and wanted to check out SF only to get there and have some burnout singing and playing Lennon songs badly? In a city of millions and millions of people, I have to believe it happens all the time. I'd be put out for sure.

I read in the book Memories of John Lennon (at least I think it was in that book) that John used to eat at the same restaurant every night. There was a really nice and sad story that the owner of the restaurant wrote for the book. I couldn't tell you what the restaurant was called off of the top of my head, but you'd have to imagine it was close to the Dakota. But I think that restaurant has some pictures or something in it.

Nice. The problem was when I was there it was April but there was a sudden heatwave so like everyone was in Central Park all of a sudden, so even SF was little overcrowded. I'll go back in November next time!

Apart from that and the Dakota, any other intersting 'Lennon spots' in NYC?

My fondest memory of my trip to NYC was going to Strawberry Fields and just sitting on a bench, thinking. Especially in that city where everything is moving a thousand miles an hour, it was nice. I was really pleased with how well maintained and respectful it was.

I went there when i wen to NYC - of course - and Iw as both happy and terribly sad at the same time remembering John. I couldn't bring myself to stand right in front of the Dakota entrance, as many do, but I loved being in "Strawberry Fields".

I have to say a lot of people were goofing around on the Imagine mosaic whereas I think it deserves more respect.
