Offline Yeesh whenever I see 1980-John, he always looks so unhealthy, just a pile of skin and bones.
I kind of just want to throw some rashers, gammon, bacon at him.

Offline It’s included on the official Lennon Anthology set @Expert Textpert as well as being booted. It even got it’s own video, which the video in post one the Cheap Trick footage from.

Offline Yeah. It wasnt compiled very well with many of the takes being either very similar to the final version or the selections being weird bordering on pointless (the ‘Yesterday ‘ parody, ‘Maggie Mae ‘ for two examples). Thats not to say there aren’t some great moments; ‘Baby, Please Don’t Go’ and the material from the ‘Mind Games ‘, ‘Walls And Bridges ‘ and ‘Rock and Roll’ sessions being my favourites.

Offline The footage was recorded during the ‘Double Fantasy ‘ sessions for possible release as a promo for a single but John was unhappy with the results and so it never got used. It was believed to have been destroyed but 20 minutes or so exists of which very small excerpts have been used in a couple of documentaries before more finally surfaced to form this promo. Wogblog posted an article on the footage going into the details back in August.
