I dunno. If it happened, Clapton might have reined in some of Lennon's Some Time in NYC indulgences.

Live Peace In Toronto 1969 has its moments, and Clapton's work on Cold Turkey is much better than the original demos. So I wouldn't write the two of them off. It's got to be better than Elephant's Memory and some of the session men Lennon ended up working with in 72-75.

Hi all,

Here are the results of the auction of John Lennon's letter to Eric Clapton, as written by yours truly:

http://www.paulfrasercollectib.....e?catid=26

A great letter showing signs of what could have been, though I'm pretty glad they never got together as the two of them combined would have resulted in the biggest bore-fest in music. Exciting times, but Lennon, Clapton and Ono all in a band together? Seems there wouldn't have been enough room in any stadium for their egos and the audience.

Cheers,

Joe
