Thanks to beattales.com a Mexican rock forum.

From the video's description in Youtube :

An overlooked, but brilliant, final 'live' performance from John Lennon and his band BOMF (Brothers of Mother F……!) Lennon's 'live' cover of this R 'N' R standard is performed here for 'Sir Lew Grade's 70th Birthday Celebrations' at the Hilton Hotel in New York

(18.04.75).

Lennon instructed the band to wear 'two faced' rubber masks, which were made especially for the event by sculptor Ruby Jackson. This veiled jibe at Grade (later known as 'Lord Greed' in the Beatles TV spoof 'The Rutles') was undertaken as a direct result of Grade's broken promise to sell the Beatles catalogue back to the Beatles. Grade's ATV Music Publishing Company included Nothern Songs, which included the Beatles catalogue. Grade had secretly sold his music

publishing catalogue elsewhere.

Irish comedian Dave Allan introduced John Lennon to a glittering celebrity audience that included the actress Lauren Bacall who can be seen briefly. This 'media' event was screened in the UK on ITV in the Spring of 1975.

Edit : Joe, I'm not sure if the title of the "Last Live" performance is true. Is it?

BTW I find quite disturbing that 10 years later, when I was 15, I used to wear my hair in that very same way.

I hate to be a d-bag, but why do people say "wear" their hair? You will always wear your hair until it falls out.
"The best band? The Beatles. The most overrated band? The Beatles."

*wearing her ESL teacher hat* I guess because you say "I wear my hair in a ponytail". You can "take off" your ponytail.

That's what I say to my students, and what logic says to me. But to be honest, I say it because this guy says most of people in English say it like that. It doesn't make sense to me either. But if something I've learned as an English teacher is that sometimes, English doesn't make sense to Spanish speakers at all.

Edit : After thinking for it a while, now it makes sense to me. You say "I wear my hair in cornrows", it makes sense because you can "take the cornrows off" right? But you don't say "I wear my hair long" you say "I've got long hair".

Thanks for the question man!! I guess I wasn't that wrong with my answer to my students.
