The planned birth date has been a rumour for some years, but I've never seen any evidence for it. AFAIK he didn't reunite with Yoko until February 1975, which would - assuming they conceived Sean immediately* - have put the due date somewhere in November. Now, I know the Lennons were very rich and used to getting their way, but would they really be able to schedule a pre-term c-section for no reason other than "It's John's birthday"? I can't help but doubt it.

John and Sean being born the same day is a pretty remarkable coincidence. I can't see how any of it supports a reincarnation fantasy, though, even if I believed in such a thing. Like, are incarnations believed to share dates of birth? I thought it was all about the birth of one coinciding with the death of another. And are the life events of the previous incarnation expected to re-enact themselves in a future one? That kinda defeats the purpose of the whole exercise, I think!

Actually it' s not weird to see people sharing the same birthdays with their most recent past life self or that their birthday is the day they died in a past life. And this with people that were not famous in a past life. However, what would be interesting to know is how John felt about Japan before he thought he was Yasuda.

Because their lives and their death are both similar. Both were rich, widely known, public figures who were adored, and they were both assassinated by members of the public who were asking them for things outside their own homes...in Yasuda's case, a donation. In John's case, an autograph. It just makes sense to me, especially if John felt the connection.

I wonder if Yasuda's death brought about the end of an era in the way that John's did...I don't know much about Japanese history.
