OfflineIs anyone planning a trip to New York City on either of these dates?
I have been toying with the idea of visiting Strawberry Fields in Central Park as I am sure there will be tons of Lennon fans holding vigil. But, to be honest, I just don't know if I'd be able to hold it together. His death was very emotional for me (I was 17 at the time and devastated).
I still have a hard time listening to certain songs and interviews.

I saw a recent documentary on the BBC with some footage from a previous anniversary at Strawberry Fields, Central Park. It was full of hippies with acoustic guitars singing Lennon and Beatles songs badly and getting high. If I was there I'd probably run as far away as possible.

OfflineThe link you provided says the footage is no longer available, but I've seen footage similar to that of which you are referring.
I still can't decide if I want to go, but stoned hippies sininging badly won't be the reason for staying away. I just don't know if it would be worth the expense of going and not being able to get close enough to Strawberry Fields because of the sheer number of people.
Perhaps a silent vigil at home on John's birthday would be best. I can use the money for the remastered Lennon set instead. Then, next time I'm in NYC, I can visit without having to fight crowds. If I enjoyed fighting crowds, I'd still live in Phoenix!

Can someone outside the UK let me know if you see any Amazon ads? The codes work for the .co.uk site but I don't think the products have been added to the other stores yet. I don't mind if it's blank, but if you see a load of broken stuff it'd be useful to know.

OfflineHere is what I am looking at.
Just to the right of the first quotation by Yoko, there is a button for "Buy From Amazon" but no product to select and no link. To the right of that, there is an ad to pre-order the newly released 4 Ed Sullivan shows.
Below, the "Buy From Amazon" button there are pictures of his albums that you can click on to blow them up bigger, but no options to buy them from Amazon. Hope that helps.

OfflineJoe I wanted to send you PM but I got an error message
In John's section there's a fact about The Simpsons, that he's the only Beatle who hasn't appeared in that show.
Well, I found this today.
