FYI:  I do a fabulous Yoko Ono impression.  True story.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Now, I'd like to see that!! :)

It's a terrible noise to endure, lol.  I do two versions:  The choppy dolphin-like sounds she makes in "Fly", and then the famous "screeching" sound. I more or less use it as a threat.  "I'll do my Yoko impression.  Don't tempt me!"  yoko-ono_01

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

My brother woke me up with his Yoko impersonation once. It was pretty obnoxious and not something I liked waking up to.

Yoko scares my cats.

It's interesting that in R ape the "actress" may not have been in on the movie.  That makes me like it a little more.  I thought it was kind of boring, especially since there were no subtitles (at least in the version I saw).

So far, I really like Fly and Erection, but the other movies I've seen so far (unless I'm forgetting one) are not that great.

It's interesting that John made "Self Portrait." I'd never heard of that one.  It reminds me of how one of William Reid's (The Jesus and Mary Chain) albums was censored because he put his own little "self portrait" on the cover.

May also be best for no-one to post the Self-Portrait film as Joe's website will be blacklisted and whoever does will be banned for life.a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

As far as I know of "Self-Portrait" can not be found anywhere on the internet (believe me I've looked a-hard-days-night-george-10 ) Yoko must have a copy sealed in a vault in the Himalayas, it's the Holy Grail of a-hard-days-night-john-4&yoko-ono_01's films. Maybe someday it will see the light of day......

Yoko's Self-Portrait self-review ("The critics wouldn't touch it") may be her wittiest remark ever!

I just saw this and it reminds me of a morning radio show I listened to as a kid doing a fake ad for the Yoko Ono Alarm System. The morning show I currently listen to plays a bit of her actual performance at the MOMA whenever she's in the news.
