In the song God, off Plastic Ono Band, does anyone know what John is referring to when he says he doesn't believe in Zimmerman? I thought maybe it could be referring to Bob Dylan because that's his real name, but do any of you know anything about this?

It is indeed Dylan. I think John was calling him out on the whole name change thing, which is kind of hypocritical considering he changed his middle name from Winston to Ono.

I think he just was calling out all the 60's hippie folks. I think (don't have the song at the ready) that the previous name was Kennedy, and he needed a long name, so he chose Zimmerman over Dylan.
