Listening to the John Lennon Anthology version of Remember. One of the best outtakes from John you’ll ever hear. As he says at the end, that was silly. He’s joking around and laughing. “So you ever change your mind, or rhythm, hahahahah!” Really good fun.

So its 1AM, i have youtube just going and playing me random songs. And this song comes on and I’ve never heard it in my life, also I’m halfway paying attention to the songs. John goes “if you ever change your mind about leavin it all behind” OH WELL DOESN’T THAT SOUND FAMILIAR!! (Bring It On Home by The Animals) I wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t have a 7″ single with House of the rising sun and bring it on home on it because that 7″ was my first introduction to those songs.

We also know John was inspired by that song, he covered it on his Rock & Roll album. But damn I didn’t know he was that  inspired

That is interesting @Neely. I’ve listened to Remember hundreds of times and I never noticed that a-hard-days-night-john-7It must have something to do with John’s phrasing…
