I think Yoko’s contributions on Milk And Honey are better than those on Double Fantasy . Aside from Hard Times Are Over I think here work on Milk And Honey is superior on almost every track. Its crazy to me that Kiss Kiss Kiss and Beautiful Boys made the cut before Don’t Be Scared or Let Me Count The Ways.

I find them to be pretty even pn both albums, although I haven’t listened to Milk And Honey as much as I’ve listened to Double Fantasy .

I actually find Let Me Count The Ways kind of funny. “Let me count the Ways how I love you.” It sounds like the stereotypical way an Asian would say a sentence like that.(I’m not being racist, I’m just saying that it’s the stereo type).

I was thinking that too, as it did take 4 years to make this album. It’s also safe to assume that some of the backing band’s contributions were also recorded after that unholy night, similar to other posthumous albums like Queen’s Made In Heaven or John’s own Free As A Bird and Real Love from The Beatles Anthology. Actually, the only album that I can think of where the album was finished but not released when a member died is Sublime’s Sublime, oddly their most popular album, containing the hit songs Santeria and the partial Lady Madonna rip off What I’ve Got.

The John songs are fantastic as usual.  Most of the Yoko songs are suffered through or skipped, although I do enjoy “Let Me Count The Ways”.  A few weeks ago in an institute class, they played a talk where one of the apostles mentioned the Elizabeth Browning poem.  It immediately reminded me of the song which is one of my favorites from Yoko.  LMCTW followed by “Grow Old With Me ” should have closed the album.  We can do away with “You’re The One”.
