I can not understand why anyone doesn't like Dizzy Miss Lizzy…i know that in a way it's different from the other songs on Help! but i find it hilarious! Someone once said that the lead guitar of the song is really annoying…why? it makes me more excited and enthusiastic !
I like that song.

OfflineFor me the song order of "Its Only Love, You Like Me Too Much, Tell Me What You See, I've Just Seen A Face, Yesterday" is up there with "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" thru to "I Will" on The White Album in terms of sheer unrelated song adulation. I dont there is another album with such a fabulous run of songs (Doctor Robert hinders Revolver's order).
(Obviously there is the Abbey Road medley which is nigh-on unbeatable but a good handful of those were recorded together with much pre-thought (Polythene Pam/Bathroom Window; Sun King/Mean Mister Mustard; Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight) and Golden Slumbers deliberately reignites thoughts of You Never Give Me Your Money).

As do I – it might be a little longer than I would like it to be, but I do like it.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

OfflineHelp! is a great summary of why the Beatles are so great. Even though there are some weak songs on this album, those weak songs have great moments on them that make the rest of the song worthwhile. For example, on I need you, there's the melody of the "please come on back to see" line.

OfflineHelp! is probably the greatest album of pure unrelated pop songs. And with pop music you're not meant to scour the lyrics for intricate meanings or deep sophisticated music, its just music that makes , or is meant to make you listen with a massive grin on your face and a joy in your spirit.
There is an arguement that the Beatles had to move on because they had cornered the pure pop market, they had to move into more sophisticated melodies, harmonies and lyrics or they would rot like most bands do – reach a plateau and fail to progress. And with Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Starr and Martin they had the means, talent and lack of studio boundaries to do so (and a good amount of pot helped).

OfflineI don't think Help! is one of their best albums, but considering the circumstances and the albums before it, it's pretty good. The Beatles were potheads who had no interest in the movie. Every song that appeared in the movie was good. The songs on side two don't go together well. The songs on Rubber Soul have a flow to them, like a work of art. It's not a bad album, but Help! just doesn't give me that same feeling.

I agree with you on this one. I have always preferred the american version of the album with the George Martin instrumentals from the soundtrack. This is where I first heard the Sitar and fell in love with it.

OfflineHelp! is one of my favorite albums. The only album I love more than Help is Sergeant Pepper. Totally cliche, I know.
