When using the regular web app that comes on an Android, I am getting the math question while trying to log on. After I answer it, I am sent to the BB home page instead of the forum. Etc.The site is working fine on the Chrome app on my phone.
Oh yeah, I’m having that as well but on firefox not the default app. I get it on the laptop too though (firefox again, win7). It just keeps giving the math question, never marks the machine as being recognized (I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s supposed to be for, first time on a particular device). I’ll try to remember to try Chrome next time it happens on the phone – I think I forgot it was there.

^ On my phone right now and the speed is good. Try using another browser and checking other websites. While the site is slow for you, I recommend staying away from threads with a lot of embedded videos cause they will be slower.

The maths question is a sitewide thing that prevents spambots from signing up and logging in. That’s why it takes you to the homepage upon completion – it’s not part of the forum, it’s part of the entire beatlesbible.com site.
I could disable it but it would leave the site vulnerable. Is it really causing problems for users here?

Offline When I get the math question, I have to retry about 8 times (including shutting down my browser and bringing it back up) to get to the forum. I’m a tenacious bulldog. I WILL get on this site. But those not inclined to bulldog it will just turn away after an attempt or two.

Offline I think AG is right though. If there’s an unnecessary barrier for regular users then the forum isn’t working efficiently. I’ll disable the security thing and look for an alternative.
