@Starr Shine?. If you check with Zig, I’m pretty sure he’ll confirm he has deleted it from his PM box, which also deletes it from yours. Anything sent by you is deleted from your inbox as well if the receiver deletes it from theirs, while anything sent to you can only be removed from your inbox by you – even if the sender deletes it from their inbox. fabfouremily and I discovered this last year when she was cleaning up her inbox and deleting inbox threads, and I was looking for something I’d mentioned to her, and when I went looking, I found many of my PMs to her had gone from my inbox while hers remained.
The only way to be sure of keeping a copy of PMs you send is to have a copy elsewhere.

Yeah, sorry, I’ve been having some downtime issues. My hosts have found that there’s a particular script that was using up the CPU resources on my server.
<tech bit>It seems like the script is something WordPress added in an earlier version, which mainly only runs when people are logged in. However, if there are plenty of people logged in, the script runs multiple times – especially if the users have more than one BB tab open. Since the forum is getting more users all the time, I suspect that’s the cause. I’ve disabled the script on admin pages so hopefully that’ll keep things in check. If it doesn’t please bear with me while I keep looking.</tech bit>

Offline The gateway error got me thinking. In case of a forum emergency where you can’t access it for a few hours, I made a site a few months ago and the main purpose of it is to be a back up forum so that when the site is not working for a bit we can all be in the same place and not scatter to different forum places and if you don’t wanna make an account it has guest posting. Unless someone has a better back up just in case site idea thing.

Offline Sorry, I’ve been getting a bit of downtime lately. It normally just lasts a few minutes. Apparently I’m getting CPU spikes but I’m not too sure of the cause.
I’m thinking of swapping hosts again because my current lot aren’t being very helpful. But switching is a pain. Currently mulling over options.

Offline Hi everyone. If you tried to access the site in the last few hours you may have been unsuccessful. I had big CPU spikes on the server which were knocking the site offline and causing problems for other people using the same hosting company. After a while I got suspended. I’m back online now but I don’t know for how much longer. The hosting company, who so far haven’t been very proactive, are supposed to be looking into solutions.
