That is a known problem. Joe has looked at it from all kinds of angles. He’s probably even stood on his head and looked at it trying to figure out how to make it work right. We will just have to wait until he or SimplePress finds the right bug killer* for this problem to go away.
*Just so we’re clear. This bug killer is formulated to not kill beetles or Beatles.

For some infuriating reason, whenever that gif (or any gif) shows up on this computer, it starts out small then automatically grows larger and LARGER by degrees until it fills the width of the text area. But it does it s-l-o-w-l-y and jerkily – like every 3 seconds it’ll expand a bit, so it takes 30, 40 seconds to reach full size. (Plus another 10 seconds or so if it’s posted TWICE!) And all the time it’s growing, everything below it is shifting downwards! So I’m trying to read the page (or write a post on it) and I have to deal with the bloody text dropping downwards for however long it takes. AARRGGHHH it drives me nuts! D:

Offline That’s very kind of you, Ahhh Girl! But I’d actually PREFER it as an animated gif-avatar – those stay the same size and don’t disrupt the screen at all!
(Also, no offense please, but I’ve never much cared for your avatar. Don’t like suspenders, don’t like Paul’s pose, and really don’t like the script overtop it all. I am the worst complainer about the visual aspects of this site, I know… )

Offline Beginning about a month ago, all my posts do not show my smileys (on my computer, at any rate) after I publish. This never happened for the like 1,800 posts I did prior to that… Nothing changed on my computer in the meantime — no new operating system, no change in browser, nothing I can think of.

But when I open the message I only see three messages
