how to change url
EDIT: what I was trying to do was see if mods could change the url for a thread when we change the topic title. Nope, only admins can do that.

Offline EDIT: Here is a picture of an example from a “how to” page I found via Google dealing with the changing of a slug. I imagine this is an approximation of an admin page for the BB forum.
@Joe, I gave it the old college try. I don’t see anyway to change a URL. Perhaps only admins can see an admin page where they can be changed? If there is a way for the mods to change them, we eagerly await your instruction.

EDIT 2 : if a mod simply moves a thread from one forum to another, the URL does change to reflect the new forum. I had this in Pimp your stuff at first and moved it to “all together now” and then to “gettting better”. The URL updated both times. Just an FYI…I did the second move after I locked the thread. Didn’t know we could do that.
The URL doesn’t update when we change a topic title.

Offline This is the best place I could find for this – I’m literally testing urls. I’m trying to add the good links to Amazon & iTunes and for some reason the preview of the sig isn’t working, yet when I post the updates show up.

Offline I happened to be talking about the Amazon link to a co-worker yesterday. She and I figured out that on our phones we could go to Joe’s link and set his landing page as an icon on our phone desktop. She said it will make it a lot easier for her to remember and use the “link”. I am going to put an icon for the link on my computer desktop too.

Offline @parlance Yep, as AG said, you can buy *anything* from Amazon, not necessarily Beatles items. If you go there through one of my links I’ll get a percentage (normally about 6%) of your total spend.
