I just noticed quite a few word games going on. But if anyone knows of any good Beatles flash games, that would be cool. A bejeweled with Joe's smilies would make me happy.

Well, there are loads of quizzes. Maybe Joe could compile a quiz that isn't a piece of crap-a-locker-fish-wife. Yeah, I say that. I'm cool.

I think he mentioned that before – a personality quiz if I recall correctly. What ever it is, it needs to look professional to be on the front page.

You know that problem I had before? Where I couldn't see the unread topics unless I clicked on a topic, it's back again…But now it keeps showing the same unread topics when I've already read them.

Hey Joe…
Assuming it's not too difficult, is there any way you can add a "Login/Password" area to the home page, so that we can sign in from there rather than having to first navigate to the "Fab Forum"?

I prefer to keep them separate, as most visitors to the site don't visit the forum. Having username/password fields might imply they get added benefit for the rest of the site by being signed in, unless it was clearly labelled as being for the forum only. Either way it feels like extra clutter.
Do you have to log in each time you visit? Can you not have your details saved each time?

1. One for at home, and one for at the office. I was at work & wanted to post something immediately but couldn't recall my password, so…etc. (That was before I realized I could CHANGE my password to something memorable, rather than "Xh&%sdrfa7" or something similar)
2. Yep, tried that several times in the past…no dice! (My computer's a sluggish, dying piece o' crap)

I've had to add a spam filter as we were getting a few rogue messages (which I spotted and zapped, but there will be others). You'll now have to complete a simple maths problem before you can submit a post.

Also, I think I've fixed the problem with the "You are not logged in" message appearing after you have logged in. Sorry, it was a plugin conflict.

Depends what you mean. There's already a random fact on the homepage ("Did you know?").
This whole site is full of Beatles trivia, though – if you need your fix just have a look around. I might put together a random post thing at some point if I get round to it.

I'm not really that fussed about creating a mobile site. This isn't really a business – it's mainly a hobby for me, so I have to prioritise things that make me happy (writing about The Beatles, mainly). Developing a mobile site definitely doesn't fall into that category.
That said, I'm grateful for every visitor I get, so if I get time (ha!) I'll see if there's an easy way to make a mobile-compliant version. The trouble is I don't think there are any industry standards with mobile browsers, so something that worked on your iPhone might not work on an Android or Blackberry. And I'm not particularly inclined to do bug-testing for something that will inevitably only get used by a small proportion of people. Hence this will probably be a conventional website for as long as that's what the majority of people want.

I'm just curious, would it not let you post something if you got the maths problem wrong? I'm sure no one would have any trouble with them, but I was just wondering (and I don't know if I want to test it or not)
