I'd need more info if I was to help. What OS/browser are you looking at? Does it work in a different browser? Do you know the smileys are a bit hidden, and you have to click on a button to show them?
I've noticed the vote buttons don't work on my iPad, but I haven't had a chance to look into it. The forum seems to work in all other browser/OS combinations I've been able to test.

I have Internet Explorer, and unfortunately no other browsers. When you say the smileys are hidden, do you mean while writing a post? They work there, but they don't show up while reading posts, and only sometimes, which is odd. All of the things that don't work for me have worked in the past.

Joe, it looks like buttons have gone missing again – they're missing from "Remember me" when logging in and they're missing from the advanced search options. It's been the case whether I'm on Firefox or IE, Mac or PC.

Sorry, server changes are to blame. I'll try to fix it all. Thanks for letting me know.
EDIT vote buttons should be back now. Smiley test: 
Old posts might still have broken smileys as the images were held on a part of the server that's been changed. I'll see if I can get them working again, but it won't happen straight away.

Possibly. There have been some server changes in the background, but I don't *think* they'd have affected subscriptions. I'll look into it. Anyone else having problems?

On a similar note, I sent a PM to someone the other day, and when posted was informed e-mail notification had failed. Thought that was just a problem my end but didn't receive an e-mail notification to let me know there had been a reply either. My PM was the 21st and the reply was the 23rd. Could be connected to Into the Sky's problems.

There have just been a few updates to Simple Press, including ones for the subscription and watches. Apparently other people have reported faults. Hopefully your issues will be fixed now – let me know if not.

Sorry! I've fixed the missing buttons (though they're still missing for me on an iPad using Chrome, but I can't work out why). Every time there's an update to the forum software I have to manually change a bit of code, and I keep forgetting to do it. I should really report the bug.
I'm actually thinking of switching to a different type of forum, but it depends if I can export all the user accounts, messages, smileys etc without losing anything. I'm doing a bit of reading to see what's viable, though I'm not about to rush into anything. Simple Press is OK, but I'd rather have use something with free support and more people developing for it, rather than just a private company run by a couple of people.
There's a wider problem with messages, which is a server issue. It's affecting the form on the Contact page too. I'm working on a fix, and hopefully it'll be back to normal sometime this week. Apologies for all the quirks and failings – I'm sure by now you're all used to this site being a bit ragged round the edges.

This is not really a getting worse, but I noticed you changed the title of the Lewisohn book thread, there is one thread title that really bugs me every time I see it. "You're Favourite Beatles Movie?" in Beatles films, television and radio. Every time I see it my pedantic brain just insists on screaming to me that it's wrong, and why. "You Are Favourite Beatles Movies?"!!! Are you able to make it what was intended?
