This was when I knew nothing about the Beatles and was listening in to see what the fuss was about, so I have no idea if I could find the comment now. These days only the mono ones are still up. Since then I've seen comments specifically saying they've changed their mind about the song. I guess it really depends, because a lot of the more sophisticated Beatle fans use the mono versions, or ...

I am disapointed to see that so many people skip "Love You Too." I always thought this song showed a big leap in George's writing and sitar playing. The sitar seems like a challenging instrument to play, so maybe more people would appreciate George and the song if they tried to play a sitar.

What I meant by that was his interest in the instrument in that period of time. What he did write that wasn't on sitar wasn't even on Pepper and held off until Yellow Submarine in '69. A lot of people don't appreciate his sitar songs (because apparently there's a big following in the skip Love You To club). He is appreciated in a different way, though. Or as they said themselves, Ringo had the moms, George had the mystics, Paul had the girls, John had the intellectuals.

After the 'The Inner Light' he felt it was time to move on and also he never felt he could master it. I play Sitar and believe me it is no easy instrument to learn.

Those of us who are true fans always felt he was special and appreciated. He played an important roll in the group and was essential to the group's success.

Lol, for me it was always ''John, Paul, George and the guy with the weird name''

So I have to wonder and ask, at the risk of losing some Beatle friends, if the question that's being asked is Why isn't George equally appreciated? Is the assumption that because he is not seen as a musical/creative equal to John or Paul mean George is under-appreciated?

IMHO, George is plenty well appreciated, however he is not equally appreciated because the hard truth is that he is not their equal. This does not diminish George's incredible talent, but being compared to "Lennon/McCartney" is something even Lennon and McCartney had a difficult time with.
