OK, so it's not a Beatles song, nor is it a proper Beatles solo effort, but oh what a song this is from George!
I was just in the car flipping about the radio dial trying to find something decent and was pleasantly surprised when I heard the opening chords to this one and then the familiar voice of the late, great George Harrison. Between Cloud 9, the first Wilburys album, the "Cheer Down" single, his Live In Japan set with Clapton, and culminating with his work on Anthology, I have to say that the the late '80s & early '90s were George's best period next to 1969-70. And "Handle With Care" is one of the best songs of the '80s, and certainly the best folk rock song of the decade…
Kudos on the site, too. Glad to be a member…

OfflineRoy Orbison has a classic voice! The other Wilburys always said he was the greatest singer of all time, although I think Paul McCartney is.
I love the Wilburys, especially Handle With Care and End of the Line. 5 great singer-songwriter-guitarists playing together (plus a drummer!) – you can't go wrong!

No, but he was a great singer-songwriter. Great at songwriting and singing the songs he wrote in the way he wanted to.
Oh it works with a lot of his songs for sure……..

OfflineI've seen Tom Petty do "Handle" in concert two or three times. It's always for George and Roy, always gets a great response from the crowd, and the Heartbreakers always nail it. Fabulous song…
For a one-off (well, it turned into a two-off) fun project, some pretty great music on that first album. Despite the fact that I'm not a fan of the "Jeff Lynne" sound…
