I am with mith in that I really enjoy the first part of the Concert For George. The more I hear it, the more I like it.

Keep us posted on your progress with the sitar.

I could finally manage watching Concert for George and I loved the first section. I might start getting into his music.

Well I just found out that one of Ravi's members of his ensemble has visa problems so they have move the concert in San Francisco from next Thursday to October 7th. Now I have to wait a few more months and I was so excited about next week. Well, I guess patience is a virtue.

Has anyone bought and listened to the Ravi Shankar and George Harrison Collaboration box set that came out?  If so, any opinions you care to share?  I can't decide if I want to get it or not..

I purchased the box set in December. Once again, this is basically a Ravi Shankar set and if you don't like sitar and indian music, then you will probably not like this. George helped and produced the albums with Ravi. The packaging is very elaborate.
