OfflineBreaking my promise of not spending more money on the Beatles (or in anything!!) I got this:
And this :
So have you seen them? What do you think of them? I'm watching Bangladesh one today. Concert for George … as soon as I get a large box of tissues because I'm sure I'm gonna cry. (another Beatle secret, I can't watch a video about remembering George or John because I cry)

OfflineGive us the verdict once you've watched it, to see if it was a good buy or not (I can't imagine it not being a good purchase!) I'm in the same boat- I'm using all my willpower to not hurry up and buy the remastered stereo discs! It's tearing me up!

OfflineBTW I couldn't see it on Sunday because when I was ready to watch it and I turned on the TV… nada. It's not working at all. Stupid thing, when I'm working 24/7 always wakes me up at 6.30. I hope I can watch it tomorrow…

OfflineTrust me, they will be SO worth it. The Concert for Bangladesh is absolutely LEGENDARY, and the Concert for George is AMAZING! (that idea about having a tissue box ready would have been so useful when I first watched it
)
Ohh, and just wait till you see Dhani perform, it's ADORABLE!

OfflineClapton must have played on literally ANY tribute concert since, since – The Concert for Bangladesh.
But NEVER ever did he have such an amazing band (at the end there are about 8 guitarists, four drummers and three bass players) with so many fantastic artists giving TOTALLY top-notch performances throughout. Not a single let down, all killer.
Macca's "All things must pass" is great, as is, well everything else.
Monty Python is the perfect bridge after the also fantastic Indian music part. Did you know Norah Jones is Ravi Shankar's daughter? Well, her sister is even mpre beautiful and talented, directing a great and totally complex piece with a tearjerking guitar solo by Clapton at the end.
Fantastic camera work and atmosphere – this must be the best tribute concert ever.

OfflineI cry every time I watch Concert For George, without fail. It's beautifully filmed and every performance is golden.
Bangladesh is wonderful, as well, but I was a little disappointed with how it seemed to turn into a Dylan concert when he entered as the guest star. …That and Clapton being so hammered he picks up the wrong guitar for While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Otherwise a fabulous concert.
