Offline George, I love you. The world needs you. You can never be truly gone because of everything you left us that will always be used. In every way you’re a beautiful person, a person who showed us dreams and a message, though many don’t have ears. I hope you found what you were looking for… because of you, I have. I hope some day you will see just how much you mean to me. To all of us. 
For tomorrow, I’m going to beg to go to Strawberry Fields and sing as long as I can. If my mom has time… (sadly I have no sense of direction and can’t travel myself without ending up in some foreign place). I’ll also listen to a lot of George… might not have time to bake a cake, as I did on the anniversary of his passing (which was quite an accomplishment, I’m hopeless with a stove). I LOVE YOU GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
He makes me smile. He makes me feel. This is so special…
I am very happy, and one reason is because I have The Beatles. Thank you!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

Offline Happy Birthday George! No, I’m not going to cry thinking that you won’t be here to see it, I’m doing what you should do on a birthday: Celebrate.
I don’t know what birthday’s are like in Heaven, is it one big party or is it a peaceful little party in somewhere quiet? Or is it nothing at all? But I can see you right now in a lush garden with a sitar in your lap with John, your parents, Mal, Brian, Neil, and other loved ones just having a joyus time. I’m still thinking myself on how I’m gonna celebrate, maybe a cake? Hahaha.
Today is your day George, make it the best birthday ever, and don’t forget that we’re thinking of you.

Offline Please forgive this being a few days late but I have been away for a while.
I enjoyed George’s birthday by watching Concert For George and then listening to the “All Things George” playlist in my iPod. On Concert For George, I always get a tear in my eye during “For You Blue ” when Paul and Ritchie look at each other while reciting George’s line about the 12 bar blues – a fantastic little moment during that concert.
Anyway, I miss George very much. To this day, I still cannot believe he is gone.
There are some very nice thoughts from you guys up thread.

Offline Wonder what he’d be doing these days if he were still around.
His hair would not be dyed; I think we can be pretty sure of that.
Would he still be involved with the music world? Playing with Dhani? (Ringo doesn’t play with Zak – then again, how do 2 drummers play together?)
I never realized he was nearly exactly 10 years younger than Yoko. When he was with the Beatles, that must have felt like quite a difference.
