Sounds pretty petty from reading it – wonder if there’s some more details we don’t know? Maybe George nursed a grudge over that bed-and-breakfast thing and asked that the pension be discontinued after his death. Or maybe it’s all Olivia’s doing? Who knows.
Maybe they had good reason to cut off the payments. But 2 grand a month seems like a ridiculously insignificant amount to be withheld considering the size of the estate.

Offline Slightly off-topic, but isn’t Louise going to publish a book on George soon? I remember reading that months ago…
On topic: Once again, I agree with the above! ^ Seems odd how her payments would just finish, it’s not as of Olivia & Dhani are in financial trouble (that we know of) :/

I saw this last night…have to take with a grain (block?) of salt since it’s the Daily Mail. Still, for some reason, and I can’t quite put my finger on it, I’ve never really warmed up to Olivia…she always seems to come across much the same as Yoko in terms of her attitude and the like. While it could be a complete load of bullshit, it also could be completely true.

Offline I have never seen an issue of the Daily Mail, but after reading this article, I have a pretty good idea of their, uh… journalistic standards: Louise Harrison lives in Missouri, which according to the Daily Mail, has a “checkered reputation as a den of meth production and addiction.” This is not only a wild exaggeration, but it is totally not relevant to this story. This would be like an American newspaper doing a story on the London Eye Ferris Wheel, and pointing out that London is where Jack The Ripper used to roam.
I don’t know much at all about George’s wife Olivia. I had never heard anything about her being scheming or manipulative. Could she be the “Quiet Yoko?”

Offline I was shocked when I saw this. I am sure there is more to this story if it is true at all. Louise has done a lot to keep George’s memory alive. I know she is on good terms with Paul (when their paths cross). I can’t imagine Olivia is a silent Yoko. She’d have shown that side of her years ago and Dhani wouldn’t have any interest in trashing his aunt (speculation on my part). I have heard somewhere that Louise was going to publish a book sometime…but I can’t remember the details. She did have a memorial to George built in her hometown…can’t imagine Olivia or Dhani would disagree with that. I always thought that there was nothing but harmony in the Harrison family. Like I said, I’m shocked. I wonder if Louise will respond.

Offline Whatever the reasons are for it, it doesn´t sound like she’s unhappy or resentful towards George or Olivia – which I suppose is good. As others have said, I’ll take this with a pinch of salt considering the paper.

Offline I read that after a fight Louise and George had George cut her out of his will but the two made up. So we don’t know if George had ever had time to write her back in. Not only that but no contact with Dhani at all is sad

Offline If I had to guess, this is one of those since the husband is dead the spouse does something she really wanted to do but wasn’t able to do while the husband was alive kind of things. Because he’s dead, she doesn’t have to listen to anything George said to her while he was alive unless if he put it in writing so there’s probably no hard feelings towards Louise, it’s probably just because she wants the money for herself and Dhani.
