I think it's supposed to be worth around £15 million nowadays, though I'm not sure where I read that. Property in the UK is quite expensive.

Keep in mind this was 1969 so if you matched it in today's market it would have been off the map.

Also when he purchased the home, it was run down so he put a lot of money and effort into bringing the house back to it's pristine condition.

The castle is on 35 acres of land and George payed $336.00 for it in 1969.
