OfflineDoes anyone know how Michael Abram got into Friar Park when he hurt George. I know that George had an elaborate alarm system going and how did he find George in the house since there are 120 rooms. I have never seen any answers to these questions anywhere in print.

OfflineWelcome, Inner Light!
I'm not sure about how he broke in, but here is some information about the event:
"On the night of 30 December 1999 an mentally unstable intruder, Michael
Abram, broke into his home at Friar Park in Henley-on-Thames. He stabbed
Harrison several times, puncturing his lung. George and Olivia fought
off Abram and restrained him until the police arrived. The assailant,
who believed he was on a "mission from God" to kill Harrison, was
acquited of attempted murder on the grounds of insanity."

OfflineI read that it was because the way his house is (or was). He had many bridges and little forest and things like that, so security was poor.
Poor George, and Paul and Ringo. After going through John's, this was just horrible. I don't blame George for having after that a low profile life (He had it anyway)

Bet George's glad he married a Mexican… now if only he didn't smoke….
Actually he got a fax from a friend after the incident saying that. I don't remember who wrote it though.

OfflineThanks Joe. So much has been written about the incident but not on how he was able to get onto the grounds. I'm not sure if Abram talked about that to the authorities. I look forward to hearing what you find out.
I was also interested in knowing if George used the entire house. I know it had 120 rooms but I have never seen a diagram of the house or how it was set up.

120 rooms!? I knew he had a big mansion but that's a lot of rooms. How many floors did it have? Or I guess I should be asking where you read about it so I can read it myself.

OfflineFrom the article linked below:
Mark Gritten, the chief executive of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, where
Mr. Harrison was taken after the attack, said, ''The quote he gave me
was that the man wasn't a burglar but that 'he certainly wasn't
auditioning for the Traveling Wilburys.' ''

I've read that he was looking at his attacker with feelings of compassion, because the man made it clear there he was not in his right mind, and that he didn't fear dying then, which is quite admirable. Obviously, Friar Park's security system changed after the attack, but I find it strangely comforting and again quite admirable he could make such a wry comment after all he and his family went through that night.
