Blue Jay Way ” — I love how it feels like the soundtrack to a dream. Or maybe I just have weird dreams …

Second and third place go to “Long, Long, Long ” and “It’s all too much.” How can you not smile when you hear that song?!

Favorite Starbucks drink: Chai, baby, Chai.

The fact that so many of you mentioned “It's All Too Much” makes me want to give it another try!

Here Comes The Sun never fails to make me feel sooo happy! so that goes first..

Second place – currently – is, I Want To Tell You .

I'm stuck at the third one!

Another Harrisong that I don't mind listening to at ANY time is Do You Want To Know A Secret .. it's just too sweet!24

*Why don't I ever get any 9's 🙁

Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on!

I'm with you, Number Nine. I’ve never met a George song I haven’t liked. I know that even he was less than thrilled with Don’t Bother Me, but I love it.

How can you not laugh to yourself while imitating his instantly recognizable voice?a-hard-days-night-george-6

One Harrisong I don't like, You Like Me Too Much , also not really a fan of I Need You , but I'm just nitpicking. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Within You, Without You, I think that might be his most powerful song lyrically.

I did. But then again I mentioned all of them.

I like all of the songs by him that I've heard.  My favorite Beatles ones are probably Old Brown Shoe , the ones on Help !, and the ones on Yellow Submarine .

Not easy to pick a favorite George song but I love 'If I Needed Someone ' a lot. I also like 'Think For Yourself ' I would have loved to hear some outtakes with Paul trying to put together the Fuzz Bass lines in that one. I wish he would have performed it on 'Live In Japan '

The further one travels, the less one knows

I really enjoy Long, Long, Long , Love You To , and Piggies . I'm with everyone else in saying by tomorrow I will have thought of a whole new top three of his. My brother's birthday is the 15th of April so of course we have to sing Taxman to him instead of Happy Birthday . (That's tax day for The U.S.)

Of course, this year you can actually sing “Happy birthday” since they moved Tax Day to the 18th. I think it’s just for this year, though.

My brother married his (no ex-) wife on April 15
about 10 years ago, and when I asked him why he would choose that date,
he said that it was easy to remember.

They also named their child after a number because it was “the only one we could agree on.”

All right, then.

We're counting solo work, too, right? What Is Life and Crackerbox Palace, too, then. And sometimes even Don't Bother Me.

I think the original post called for favorite Beatles song written by George. But I certainly share your love of What Is Life . It's one of my all-time favorites.

Favourite Harrisong… ever? WOW, that’s tough. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

I think, though, if you threatened to shove me my guitar off a cliff if I didn’t answer definitively, I’d say “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)”.

Favourite Beatles’ Harrisong is probably While My Guitar Gently Weeps , both the album and demo versions are incredible!

Solo- ugh what a difficult question. I can’t pick one so I’ll list six:

Wah-Wah

Soft-Hearted Hana

Your Love Is Forever

Someplace Else

Any Road

Stuck Inside A Cloud

I have to admit that I am a fan of Spector’s ‘Wall of Sound’ so songs like ‘Wah-Wah ‘ suit me down to a T because they’re massive, energetic songs, although one day I would like to see an ‘ATMP : Unplugged or Naked’ album.

Or just give us another ‘Early Takes’ volume (and make it a bit longer please), I’m not picky!

Hard to divide just one, but it’s maybe Something , Let it roll or Here Comes The Sun . I can’t take anything from ATMP (except Let it roll which is extraordinary for the reasons Silly Girl posted about earlier) because it’s a whole friggin’ album filled with awesome songs.

Solo.

Go with first thought and its ‘Run Of The Mill ‘. He has amazing solo material but if i had to only ever have one i’d cry, weep and wail all day and night over all the others but i’d opt for ‘Run Of The Mill ‘.

Beatles.

Go with first thought and its ‘I Need You ‘. He has amazing band material but if i had to only ever have one i’d cry, weep and wail all day and night over all the others but i’d opt for ‘I Need You ‘. So highly underrated to the point of the world just being plain stupid it would be better to put it out of its misery and end it all.
