About meditation, I learned some relaxation exercises a few years ago, they are very simple breathing and stretching exercises. They're like baby steps for yoga, you can find some very easy ones on Internet. And to be honest, they're an excellent complement for any physical exercise.

When I saw the name of this thread I knew it would be extremely interesting, and it is!

The song is amazing to begin with. I heard it for the first time on George's birthday this year when I watched Concert for George – Eric Clapton performs an amazing amazing cover of this song.

For some reason, listening to ATMP and Concert for George some 1,000,005 times maybe.. I don't get bothered by the preachy songs.. For me they're much more worthy than a "Baby.. baby baby ohhhh!" happy song.. George's songs just emanate so much peace of mind, some ...

Seriously take a Philosophy class, even if it's just like 101. The work is challenging, but so rewarding because you discover so much about yourself.
I think you can find happiness, even if it's just within yourself, you know. That's all you can really control and I just feel like if each person tried to fulfill their own personal view of happiness, wars would end and so would corruption because it's so much easier to love than hate. Ok. Well the thing is this. I decided to figure out, what's my purpose in this life. And I found the answer in The Art of Hapiness, a book written by a doctor based on the interviews he did to the Dalai Lama. And his answer was quite simple : The purpose in this life, is being happy. That must be your goal.

Now if that were easy, everybody would be truly happy. But where can you find happiness? I don't have a husband, or children of my own, I lost my faith in my church (not in my religion), ...

Very cool mith, I hadn't really paid attention to the lyrics but they are very meaningful.
As to your other comments, the purpose of life is something that I'm also very interested in right now as well, but I'm sure this is a question we all face at some point.
