About meditation, I learned some relaxation exercises a few years ago, they are very simple breathing and stretching exercises. They're like baby steps for yoga, you can find some very easy ones on Internet. And to be honest, they're an excellent complement for any physical exercise.

You are correct. Meditation can be done even if you are sitting on a chair and just doing breathing exercises inhaling with your nose and exhaling with your mouth. I recommend alternate nostril breathing for relaxation. This is something you can do from the desk at your work place when you are stressed. Yoga is the perfect way ...

and Mith.. I think the fact that you and many of us have stopped and thought about what our lives mean and what's the purpose of our being, is in itself a huge thing. I guess it's one of those things where the journey to reach your goal is what matters, not the goal itself. This song, as well as the Art of Dying, also got me looking into the Hindu religion and the Hare Krishna faith. I have no plans of converting because I feel that all religions boil down to the same thing. ...

The song is amazing to begin with. I heard it for the first time on George's birthday this year when I watched Concert for George – Eric Clapton performs an amazing amazing cover of this song.

For some reason, listening to ATMP and Concert for George some 1,000,005 times maybe.. I don't get bothered by the preachy songs.. For me they're much more worthy than a "Baby.. baby baby ohhhh!" happy song.. George's songs just emanate so much peace of mind, some ...

I think you can find happiness, even if it's just within yourself, you know. That's all you can really control and I just feel like if each person tried to fulfill their own personal view of happiness, wars would end and so would corruption because it's so much easier to love than hate. I mean, what's easier to do, smile or frown? So that's why I have hope for myself and for humanity, but maybe ...

As to your other comments, the purpose of life is something that I'm also very interested in right now as well, but I'm sure this is a question we all face at some point. I haven't really approached it from a religious perspective so I'd be interested to hear what you or anyone else eventually figures out, but it seems as though we've been tricked into believing this society and world and way of life are all that exists, and therefore all that is ...

Well I will answer that anyway. George looked just like my avatar to the left. That photo was taken at the same time as his tour. I remember cutting my hair like that and growing the mustache after seeing the concert. His voice was shot but I still enjoyed every moment of the show. It was the first time I ever saw a Beatle in person and for one of the shows I was in the front row and he was about twenty feet from me. It was great!
