One of the reasons why George is my favorite is his sense of humor. Who else would go through all of that just for a practical joke? I do believe he was the funniest!

Really a fine album, features many great songs, although I think many george beatles songs are better than the atmp songs (no wonder many songs were rehearsed by the beatles during the get back sessions but they recorded something, old brown shoe, here comes the sun, for you blue and i me mine which are all better than many atmp songs). Nevertheless I think i me mine (at least in spectors mix (obviously because he also produced atmp)) fits better to all things must pass than to let it be. I think it was kind of a preview to all ...

Cant imagine how frustrating it would have been having to sit thru endless rehearsals of Across The Universe, Maxwells Silver Hammer and long monotonous jams yet couldnt get any interest from John or Paul for All Things Must Pass. Listening to some of those recordings is hard enough at times, the thought of having to sit there day after day

Someone compared it to like having diarrhea, i have no idea who. I suppose if you have diarrhea then you hope you can get to a bathroom and let it out. To continue the comparison theme you could say that whilst part of The Beatles George's songwriting was like having constipation. He had all these songs inside but couldnt get them out.

In regards to the album's size, Harrison stated "I didn't have many tunes on Beatles records, so doing an album like All Things Must Pass was like going to the bathroom and letting it out."

That's from Wikipedia. Still trying to figure out how you deduced diarrhea from that!

I quite like the Apple Jams, Johnny's Birthday is especially enjoyable, not that i play them regularly.

Joe, i have that 2001 box remaster. Not a big fan of My Sweet Lord (2000) but im not a massive fan of My Sweet Lord. Its okay if played on the radio but its not something i play otherwise.

Supposedly there was another remaster released in 2010 on George's website ...

As with the white album being the top-selling Beatles album, that's because it's a multi-record package and it's sales are therefore doubled/tripled. Band on The Run sold more actual copies. (For what it's worth!)

Yes, that's the edition I have. I don't think the updated version of MSL is that bad. Ok, it doesn't live up to the fabulous original, but it's interesting to hear another arrangement.
