This is the Beatles Bible lexicon. We'll compile our forum-isms for people who are new, so they won't be completely lost in what we're saying.

I'll start off.

Doing a Zig: When someone finds something so funny that they spit out whatever they were drinking at the time.

To derail a thread: To change the subject of a thread so dramatically that nobody is talking about the original subject anymore. This can be remedied in two ways. The first is for a poster in the discussion, often the one who derailed it, to announce that the thread is derailed and make an effort to only post things that are completely related to the original topic. A new thread will be started for the discussion that was going on. The second way is for someone who is new to the site to read the original post and comment on it. People will start talking about the new person and post links to the introduction thread. If someone posts "on a semi-related subject…", then you know the thread will soon be derailed.

Getting a 17: Same as above, except with the number 17.

EDIT: And you know what I mean.

Oh! I just thought of more!

To give an apple: To include a apple01 or a apple02 in one's post in order to indicate that a poster has done something awesome. To give an apple, you say, "Here's an apple," and then insert as many apple01s or apple02s as you want.

See also: To give a Blue Meanie (blue-meanie), to give a George Martin head (george-martin), to give a Brian (brian-epstein), to give a Mal Evans (mal-evans), etc.

Paulrus' Kanyes: All of these follow this format: "Yo, _____, I'm real happy for y'all, and I'mma letchoo finish, but _____ had the best ______ of all time. Of all time!" Paulrus from Australia is the only one who can really pull this one off.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

So is it to pull a Yoko, a John, a JohnandYoko, or a Two Virgins?
