I would make more use of this thread as my lack of search skills is bordering on the ridiculous except I can’t seem to find where it is.

Should create another thread so you can ask in there where to find this one.

I remember there was a thread wherein someone (just recently) touched upon the non-existent thread which may focus on John and Paul’s relationship. Just wondering which thread that was or if there is one which talks about John and Paul?

@StrawberryFieldsForever

Is this what you are remembering?

An allegory of the Lennon/McCartney symbiosis & synergy — and of their “break-up”

https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..-break-up/

Let’s use that as our John/Paul…Lennon/McCartney relationship thread.

Is there a topic on Paul’s classical music?  I couldn’t locate it…

Thanks.

@Funny Paper, Here’s one (the instrumental albums thread also has a few posts on the subject).

Another query:  I seem to recall that many moons ago, I created a topic about “things you would like to change in a Beatles song” — or something like that.  I combed through a few pages of the Songs section, but couldn’t find it.

Before I create a new one like that, I wanted to make sure it didn’t already exist.

@Funny Paper, I didn’t see a thread you started, but I did find these. If the thread you are remembering isn’t one of these, let me know, and I will keep digging.

Things you wish they’d done differently

Beatles lyrics you would have changed

If you could change ONE thing about the Beatles, what would it be?

Thanks Ahhh Girl, the “Things you wish they’d done differently” thread seemed the right one, so I put my comment there.

I want to post a link to this article. Is there a critics’ perceptions of the Beatles thread where it would be appropriate?

@parlance, this thread may be a good fit. We can tweak the thread title a bit if needed.

Does anyone know if we have an ‘Influenced By The Beatles’ type thread? Was reading about Genesis (the band) and of course Phil Collins was but Steve Hackett (one of the early members) learned to play guitar from ‘I Feel Fine ‘ (amongst other records) and it got me thinking – we know the Beatles have influenced [hundreds of] thousands of artists but a thread that documented them (with sources) might be of interest, i just dont know if we have one or how to find it here. I’m sure there would be a ton of artists that were influenced but might not be too obvious.

Obviously there is the argument that the Beatles’ legacy is so vast it changed everything but thats where the sources come in. Maybe its a daft dull thread idea.a-hard-days-night-paul-7

The first thread I thought of was Songs by other bands that sound “Beatles-ish”, but that probably doesn’t quite get what your after.

Take a look at this post in the thread If the Beatles never existed, who would you be listening to?, the one after it, and a couple of posts on the next page. I just found this thread Best Beatles Influenced Band https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..nced-band/. Perhaps a merge is in order?

Whatever @Ahhh Girl’s BB salary is, it should be doubled.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

So, @Starr Shine?, how does 0 + 0 differ to 0 x 0. I think @Ahhh Girl is getting the same rise however it’s calculated! And it’s more than deserved! I vote @meanmistermustard and @Zig should be on a similar level of remuneration!
