OfflineHello everyone from a new member.I am from Liverpool UK , Yes the very place!! I may have a lot that I can share with you. I am now in my late 60's and I have been lucky enought to have seen The Beatles performing live on countless occassions. When I first saw them in the Cavern the entrance price was one shilling, US camparison would be about nickel I guess. There were many other places where they appeared live in and around Liverpool and it was my priveledge to be there. In the early days all the girls loved everything about them, their looks, music and so on. A lot of the boys were very jealous of them, Me included !!. They were living the dream playing music every day, kissing all the girls and getting paid for it !!. We on the other hand were doing menial jobs in stores, factories, and so on, and living a boring life. Things would get better, in the meantime they brightened our nights with their exciting music, and only four girls could kiss them at one time, so we had fun kissing the rest !! See you later.

Please do share all the stories that you can remember. I'm incredibly jealous of anyone who saw The Beatles play, let alone at the Cavern.

OfflineNew member, although I have been lurking (mostly not in the forums, but rather on the encyclopaedia pages) for at least 3 years.
Beatles fan for 40 years (I am a little bit older than that). The first song I remember listening to is "here comes the sun" on my Dad's phonograph.
Abbey Road is my favourite album, followed by Revolver, Rubber Soul, Magical Mystery Tour, Let it Be, White Album, Hard Day's Night, Sgt. Peppers, Please Please Me, Help, With the Beatles, Beatles for Sale, Yellow Submarine.
Huge John Lennon fan. I love all the Beatles, but John was one of the greatest geniuses of the century.
My kids (Aged 6 and 3) are huge Beatles fans. I am still working on my wife.![]()

OfflineToday Mar 3 I am a new member to this forum
I am not quite in my 60's and sadly do not live in the revered Liverpool, however, I am very proud to be a staunch Beatle fan.
"Let me take you down" (back) to that fateful night in Feb 1964, me, along with millions of other Bealtes fans watched with awe and pleasure those "four fine lads from Liverpool" make hsitory as no other band has or will.
It was from that night, i could not get enough of this amazing sound and energy, however, it was not until later in my life that I have added seriously to a slight colletions of books and of course all their albums released in Canada. ( I scored "Introducing the Beatles on the VeeJay label from e-bay of all places).
Just recently I picked up the print of the Fab Four with Ed Sullivan and I belive the stage manager at their dress rehearsal through a silent auction. It is one of my favourite possessions.
Thank you for this forum
Until next time
