At least there is a game aspect to the sonk link thread, and i thought that had been killed off and wasnt missing it.

I prefer the idea of what new stuff youre found discovered/getting into as that might open up to discussion as well as tie in with the 'I Just realised how lucky i am' thread.

If not, I kinda disagree. It's a snapshot into people at a time. Maybe it's not "essential" but I think it makes people who wouldn't think to listen to a song go "hey (insert former here) is listening. Why don't I give it a try, seeing as how they typically have great taste." But I wouldn't shed a tear if it closed.

Again, it's just a list of songs to me. I'd be interested in hearing what new music was exciting people, what recent discoveries they'd made, but just a song title doesn't do that. Thoughts on that?

I agree. I generally just ignore this thread if I'm rushing. It isn't essential by any means.

Would also like to add that the artist doesnt count as its very easy going from Beatle song to beatle song and no half words would be good (ie no Sunday Girl followed by Here Comes The Sun), but that wouldnt be practicle 15 pages on from here with newbies plus there are then too many rules and it gets complicated.

We can easily link it back in 2 steps. For You Blue - The Beatles being the first.
