Yes, I’d love to meet Paul, but, what could I say to him? “Thank you for what you’ve done for me, for all the joy, for the laughter and the tears, for turning this world into a place where I can live with your music”? He knows that. He knows I feel that way –that millions of people all over the world feel like that. People like me must bore him to death.

Now, and so that Annadog40 doesn’t scold us, the question.

Have you ever met an artist (painter, sculptor, film director, musician, writer, etc.) whose oeuvre you admired? And did you go to him and say: “I love what you do”? I once saw the premiere of a low-budget horror movie; what the director had achieved with a few bucks and non-professional actors was amazing. He was there. After the movie the spectators were allowed to ask questions. A friend of mine asked him about his favorite film directors (John Carpenter was one of them; also Sam Raimi), but I couldn’t say a word. When everybody was leaving I saw myself (in my mind) going to him and stuttering “Yo-yo-your mo-mo-movie was gr-gr-great!” I wanted to do it but I was too afraid (I was only twenty-five then, it was a long time ago, but I haven’t changed) so I just left. I regret it to this day.

I once saw the bassist of my favourite Hungarian band in a cafe. He’s a person I really admire. I really wanted an autograph, but I was too afraid. I didn’t know what to do. I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, because he was quite old. In the end my sister asked for an autograph. ahdn_paul_01

And now a question:

Do you like tribute bands?

I’ve only seen one, but I enjoyed it. They pretty spot on with mannerisms, accents, etc. Was it better than the real thing….no, but it was still fun. Probably the closest I will get a “Beatles” concert besides seeing Paul or Ringo (which I have seen Ringo).

What is your favorite book?

Oh that’s a tough call!!  I (of course) enjoyed Paul’s official Biography “Many Years From Now”… although it’s not a complete biography, more about his time with The Beatles and who wrote what.  More about the 70’s and forward would have been nice!

So I guess my answer would be “The Shining” by Steven King.  The move is good, but the book is SOOOOO much better!!

Who is your favourite actor and/or actress?  Mine is THIS GUY:

Is the answer to this question no?

Most times on my side. If/when my back hurts, sleeping on my back works better.

For those who work/go to school every weekday morning, how early do you get up? For me, it’s 5AM.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I usually have to get up around 7:30am.  If I get the early shift, it’s more like 6am or a little earlier.

What device do you usually use when on the forum?  (as in a phone, laptop etc..)

Hmm, that’s a toughie…  I would say probably my White Album poster.  It was sent to me by a generous member of this forum and it was lovely of him to do so.  a-hard-days-night-paul-7  Hopefully that counts because it technically came with the vinyl, but that’s not how I acquired mine.

Do you do any regular exercise or play sports?

1980, walking to school every day I used to see this magazine in a kiosk with an article about John on its cover. “John Lennon records again” or something like that, it read. It used to make me happy. But it’s a bitter-sweet memory because of what happened on December 8 that year…

Unhappiest high school moment?

That’s hard to choose, wasn’t a big fan of high school.

I remember in 10th grade there was This Boy I was really into.  He didn’t know I existed, like most of them back then…  I came to school one day and he was dating one of those “popular” girls I didn’t like and I remember it just crushing my very existence.  paul-mccartney  It happened a lot but that one especially hurt.

Do you prefer to stay home or go out?

Depends whats happening out. I’m not into crowd scenes. I suppose it would be staying in but with a lot of caveats attached.

Your favourite piece of non-Beatles art?

My phone.

Probably my Ringo ticket stub. That was so much fun.

I play guitar… No? Doesn’t count?

JauntyMonty said

Playing my guitar with a friend at lunch everyday. There was a patio at my school and we’d sit out there and play Beatles stuff and improve songs the other was writing. One of the few people who liked The Beatles (almost) as much as me. But he left that year because he was a senior.

Oudis said

When the guitar teacher left after freshman year. He was the coolest. The teacher the next year wasn’t bad but she couldn’t even play guitar. (Shouldn’t that be necessary to teach that class?)

That or the beginning of one year when they accidentally put me in gym instead of guitar! Got out of it after two weeks luckily.

Not much bad in my opinion…

Same as mmm, in unless there’s something particularly interesting out.

And I’m kind of confused by mmm’s question so here it is again:
