I’ve been waiting for somebody to say “Number three, number three!” but it seems nobody else finds my little mystery interesting. Answers: number 1 is true: although I’m baptized and have been to many Christian (and even Buddhist) weddings, I’ve never been to Mass (I come from a family of free thinkers and they thought that I would attend as an adult, or a teenager, if interested). Number 3 is true: for me there’s only good and bad literature, and I’m criticized for not acknowledging the genre of “literature for children” (Alice in Wonderland is a classic example of good literature that can be read both by kids and grown ups). The lie was number 2; I do have a clever and beautiful daughter, but she’s seventeen, and is far from being loving towards me (people say it’s her age, it’ll pass, etc.) Your go, @LongHairedLady

 Sweet.

1.  I hardly ever wear makeup.

2.  I have moved 10 times in the last 12 years.

3.  I had a doctor appointment this morning.

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Incorrect.  I unfortunately have moved that many times.

Okay here is how it goes

I give you three statements about myself. I am saying that all of them are true one of them isn’t that’s up to you to figure out

the FIRST one to guess the lie gets to make three more statements and the game continues

statements:

  1. I am typing this while enjoying and ice cold Coke Zero
  2. I got Lego Lord Of The Rings for Christmas
  3. The Last Album I Listened to all of was Rubber Soul

EDIT: If More Than 2 People Don’t get the Lie You go Again.

I can’t remember. Did we decide to play with the bolded rule? I know we just discussed it, but I don’t remember, and I’m not not in a mood to search for the answer.

Nah, I got passed over the other day because people didn’t bother with the rules.

#1 was the lie.  I wear a healthy amount of makeup on a daily basis.

1.  I’ve had pizza for dinner two nights in a row.

2.  My work week is Sunday to Thursday.

3.  I just watched “I Am The Walrus ” on the MMT dvd.

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

The rules were forgotten for a while until recently but folk tend to ignore them.a-hard-days-night-paul-3

1 lie and 2 truths are stated by a forum poster, 2 folk guess, if neither gets it right the lie setter goes again unless he/she decides otherwise and states it in the thread.

Thank you @LongHairedLady, here I go:

1 – I started to smoke in my teens

2 – I drink half a pint of stout every evening, which makes losing weight very hard

3 – In summer I swim, in winter I exercise at home (sit-ups, squats, dumbbells, etc)

Unfortunately several days have passed and nobody has given the right answer.

2 – “I drink half a pint of stout every evening, which makes losing weight very hard” –TRUE

3 – “In summer I swim, in winter I exercise at home (sit-ups, squats, dumbbells, etc)” –TRUE

The lie was number 1 – I stated to smoke in my forties. I go again, therefore; here you are:

1) The first SCI_FI book I read as a child was The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham; I still read it every couple of years

2) When I was a child I was obsessed with the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur; it’s still obsessing me.

3) As a child I read the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis; I still find it a gripping story.

I’m sorry to say that you are both wrong, @meanmistermustard & @AppleScruffJunior… I did read The Day Of The Triffids as a child and it had an profound impact on me (by the way, part of the text is a ballad by George Gordon, Lord Byron; the book made me read him for the first time); I was and still am also obsessed by the myth of the labyrinth and the half-man half-bull creature. The lie was number three: I’ve never read the Chronicles of Narnia.

Here I go again… I hope to lose this time…

SCI-FI:

1) I love Philip K. Dick

2) I love Isaac Asimov

3) I love J. G. Ballard

Going on my knowledge of these authors, which is absolute zero,…  I guess #3.
