If I’m remembering correctly from elsewhere, I have a slight inkling #2 might be the lie. Seem to think it’s the other way ’round. Just can’t remember the thread it cropped up in so can’t check if it’s just my mixed-up confusion, and that glasses vs. contacts conversation was with someone else.

Correct!  I’ve never worn contacts.  I prefer glasses, usually a chunky plastic frame.  a-hard-days-night-john-1

Goodie. Let me think…

1. My older sister was one of the Bromley Contingent, a famous group of early punk fans who included Siouxsie Sioux, Sid Vicious and Billy Idol among their number.

2. A few months before his death, I found myself in Jeff Buckley’s hotel room, with him playing his guitar and singing until around three in the morning, until stopped by complaints from other guests.

3. I was once thrown out of a pub in Croydon with Kurt Cobain and others when we drunkenly kept singing Electric Light Orchestra songs despite repeated requests to stop.

I’m gonna go with #1… It’s completely untrue, or it was your older brother, or younger sister, or younger brother? Just a guess- I’m probably wrong.

‘Fraid not. My older sister was indeed one of the Bromley Contingent, much to my parents despair. Which leaves us with Jeff Buckley or Kurt Cobain…

Am I allowed to guess again? Or does somebody else guess now?

EDIT: I’m just going to assume I can guess again.

#3- It’s completely untrue, or you weren’t actually thrown out of the pub, or it wasn’t in Croydon, or it was somebody other than Kurt Cobain, or you weren’t singing Electric Light Orchestra Songs?

Firstly, if it’s a rule somebody else should have guessed, rules are made to be broken, and anyway – for two of the reasons you gave – you’re right.

Both 2 and 3 involved a band I was friends with at the time, Faith Over Reason – one of those bands who almost made it.

At the time of 2 they were supporting Jeff Buckley on tour, and etc, as above.

Number 3, Stephen Malkmus from Pavement was producing their first album proper, Easy, and one drunken afternoon at The Ship in Croydon ended with us being thrown out when, on our table at the back of the pub, we kept breaking out into Abba songs at the top of our voices. Luckily, The Gun were much more tolerant.

Anyway, your turn…

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8  :D I like Abba.

#1: My parents are both the oldest of six.

#2: At least two of my teachers like the Beatles.

#3: One of my friends likes Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and the Beatles.

That’s a toughy. All plausible. And 2 & 3 could be true without you knowing! I don’t know how many teachers are in this equation, but I’d guess at least 2 like The Beatles. They may not love them, but I’m sure at least 2 like. Which leaves 1 or 3. Could someone have such good music taste and such bad music taste? Hell, yes! Look at my record collection. There’s some cheese in there! I’m guessing number one is the lie. Either both come from big families, but not both the oldest of six, or one’s an only child.

Thread revival time! I take mja is not coming by any time soon, so I’ll make a list.

1. I only have one Beatles poster in my room.

2. I dislike getting my fingernails cut.

3. I can read music notes.

The third one is a lie! Well done, I can’t find any Simon & Garfunkel posters anywhere :( But I  have a Beatles area on my walls which has about 120+ pictures plus of The Beatles and bits of their solo careers, a massive Michael Jackson poster and some posters of thenewno2!

And here’s a little anecdote about how I learned to do the splits, I was 7 and was walking on a wall, a very high wall. I lost my balance and KA-POW!  all I can say is I thanked God I wasn’t born a boy that day a-hard-days-night-john-7

Yeah, I’ve never seen a Simon & Garfunkel poster either, so that why I guessed that. Now I’ll go:

1. I have a Rubber Soul mirror

2. I have two Shih Tzus

3. I’m in Driver’s Ed right now
