Offline Annadog40, I’m afraid you’re wrong. She was the patron of Barnardos. She gave a speech in the morning, and I was part of a panel in the afternoon. We watched her in the green room. We were all cacking ourselves. Then she walked off stage, and a couple of minutes later an armed policeman stuck his head through the door and said, “Up to meet the Princess”. Four elevators, three shut down with armed police guarding them, and one open and ready. We were all patted down before we got on the lift. You don’t argue with a man with a machine gun! Taken up in the lift, and then put in a line to meet the Princess. Everybody mumbling things as she moves down the line. “What’s it like being on the stage?” I squeak, knowing I was soon on stage. “Didn’t notice,” she smiled, “my knees were knocking too much!”
I met her more than that once, she was a lovely lady.
Which mean @meanmistermustard is right! Never won the lottery!
