OfflineOk I got the DVD earlier this month, but since the TV in my room is broken I hadn't seen it until a few minutes ago. I got one of those new large flat HD screens, and I decided to watch it.
I love this film and I have seen it a lot of times, but never on TV. Something that really got me was when John sang "All you need is love". How profetic this film was!! John's words of love trying to stop the bullshit in this world. With all the things going on, and after coming from a reunion with some Beatle fans in my town to organize the Beatle week, I really felt a tear in my eyes and I thought "Damn it, how much we need John now".
It truly got me. I love the film. Paul's quoting the songs "You're not half the man you used to be" " it's getting better all the time". My sister (who watched the film with me) didn't understand why I laughed so hard in those bits.
And of course my favorite is still George though I have a soft spot for Ringo and his "I want me mum!!"

OfflineI loved the movie. The only problem I had with Beatles movies is that they seem a little too Ringo-centered. Don't get me wrong, I love Ringo, it's just that I would love to see more of the others. George didn't have a big part in any of the movies

I agree with you about the "Ringo-centerism" (?), but I find that very cool.

OfflineYeah… but I think it's fair considering that most of the music is Lennon/McCartney or Harrison.
I think Ringo was chosen because you can relate with him.. and it's easier to believe that all things can happen to him and have the other Beatles helping him.
Edit : And Mr. Big… how come George didn't have a big part in YS?? He tried to fix the motor, he made the plan to get the instruments, (was he??) and he had the COOLEST INTRO EVER!!
Those trippy images of India with Love You To intro… … and then the camera goes up goes up and goes up and there you have George Harrison at the top of the mountain feeling the wind!! He looks so peaceful but at the same time, so ready to kick Chuck Norris's butt!!

OfflineIf you recall Ringo is also the main focus of A Hard Day's Night (when he goes missing) and the main focus of HELP! – he's wearing the ring.
As the other person said, Ringo is the most relatable, plus in terms of combined fans – he got the most fan mail – he was in some ways the most popular overall.

OfflineIn retrospect, the general Ringo-centricism proved to be fairly appropriate and prophetic, considering that Ringo's the one who went on to have the substantial movie career. ("The Magic Christian" is a scream! Highly recommended if you haven't seen it.)
In AHDN each of The Beatles had a solo scene, although Paul's was cut (you can read about it here, including the script). When Ringo did his everyone concluded that he was the best actor in the group, and he was always wildly popular with the fans, so I suppose it made sense to make him the focus of Help!
AFAIK The Beatles were largely hands-off during the making of Yellow Sub, so wouldn't have had much say in how much screentime each character had.

What was Georges? I have seen it once on TV like 2 years ago.

I love it! This is my second favorite scene after Ringo's "lonely guy" sequence.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.
