Weird……….

I’m rather glad they cut that out……

The bit at the beginning was an outtake from Yellow Submarine , if I remember rightly.

Yeah the clips its been pieced together and the Ringo intro is from the remix on the ‘Real Love ‘ single. The story goes that John heard what had been done to his song and refused to share the songwriting royalties. He probably also recognised it as being what it is; a joke that gets less amusing with every listen and all you’re left with is a great song made worse.

I re-watched this film and I think out of all the Beatles films, this one could of worked even with out the Beatles name attached.

How, @Starr Shine?? So much of it is inspired by Beatles songs. Even the submarine wouldn’t be yellow without the Beatles involvement, so bang goes the film title. And, of course, there could be no rescue of Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and what would Jeremy Hilary Boob Phd be if he wasn’t a Nowhere Man . I see a Sea Of Holes in your suggestion.

So, The Beatles name would still be attached? You’re talking in the realms of the Bee Gees and Robert Stigwood’s godawful Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band – and you can bet they would have blocked that had they been able to. It wasn’t something they wanted their names attached to, even though it would be. The only film of theirs that I think could have been with any successful group is A Hard Day’s Night , simply because it had a storyline built around what every band does. That was simply 48 hours in the life of a band, and the storyline would work for any band.

Ya. Like Across The Universe was about Beatles Music, it didn’t star the Beatles. I think Yellow Submarine could of worked if the Beatles were replaced by four other guys.

I just watched Yellow Submarine for the first time a couple minutes ago- I absolutely loved it! It is my favorite of all the Beatles movies so far (I’ve seen A Hard Day’s Night , Help !, and now Yellow Submarine ). I loved the songs, animation, jokes, and song references! I honestly want to watch it again right now. Towards the end, did anyone else see Stuart Sutcliffe in the group of frozen townspeople? stuart-sutcliffe I was really surprised the I didn’t hear some of the songs before, such as “All Together Now ” and “A Northern Song”. I thought that I already heard the majority of Beatles songs. This movie is my new favorite, I can’t get over it!blue-meanie Now I just have to get Magical Mystery Tour …..

it is very odd that ringo is the focus of all the movies even the main focus of  Magical Mystery Tour  is it trying to make up for his lack of songs

Well, maybe that’s part of it.  I always thought that it was because he was the best actor of the four.  He certainly had the most prolific acting career.ahdn_ringo_09

The one from the beginning who accidentally says “yes” is my favorite Meanie from the film.

I noticed this and was gonna make a thread on it but decided that it wasn’t that worth it.

I had the blu ray edition of this movie but I left it (along with all the Toy Story movies) in a rental car, so now I no longer own it, and that makes me really sad because I wanted to show it to my baby sister one day but then I remembered that I don’t have it anymore. ):
