One part I've noticed that's different on both this new Blu-ray edition and the previous '99 DVD edition from the version I watched in my youth that had been recorded off a local TV channel when it had been on in the wee hours one night (apart from the inclusion of the "Hey Bulldog" segment): as The Beatles are releasing Sgt. Pepper's LHCB from their 'meanie bubble,' "Baby, You're a Rich Man" begins to play on the soundtrack and as the bubble is deflating the song continues to play. Then when the lyric starts, the group starts singing until stopping after roughly the first verse and resuming ...

I'll jump in and apologize for my assumptions that everyone here is male.

Coming from a few other male-dominated forums and seeing how most user names are ambiguous and their avatars are of Beatles, my mind just slipped into that way of thinking.

Unknown - that stopped being about you specifically at some loint during that post, and became a rant I've never had the energy to type out. It drives me crazy when people force (as apparently wasn't the case with you) people to do things they have no interest in doing because person 1 is in love with the Beatles. I don't think a person's Beatles fandom (or lack thereof) should *necessarily* be a factor in their appreciation of "Yellow Submarine". After all, back in '64, middle-aged (and older) movie critics who couldn't stand the Beatles, all fell all over themselves to praise "Hard Day's Night". And "YS" is practically a must-see for animation fans.
