My very first post! Not my last, I promise (threaten). What I think are their best, coupled with albums that are better than than you think:
John: Plastic Ono Band – with a side of 'Walls And Bridges'
Paul: RAM – with an order of 'Flowers In The Dirt'
George: All Things Must Pass – avec "Brainwashed"
Ringo: Photograph – The Very Best Of Ringo Starr – cheque please!
Lots of love to Ringo. That 2007 compilation serves him very well.

John – Plastic Ono Band and Imagine. Both albums are very good, and I just can't decide which one I like better. One day I will like Imagine better, and the next day I will be obsessed with Plastic Ono Band. The only song off either albums that I normally choose not to listen to would be I Don't Want To Be A Solider, then there are a couple off POB that I recently listened to so much that I now have to be in the mood for them, or else they're just too underwhelming for me to listen to.
Paul – I really love most of his albums, so this is really hard for me. I will go with Tug of War mostly because of The Pound Is Sinking and Somebody Who Cares. I have been particularly keen on this album for the past few months, and there really isn't a bad song on it. The worst is probably Get It, and I love that song. Other albums that are really close would be RAM, McCartney II, and Flaming Pie.
George – All Things Must Pass, with Cloud 9 coming in at a close second.
Ringo – Goodnight Vienna. Ringo might be a little better, but this album has three of my favorite Ringo songs: Goodnight Vienna, No No Song, and Call Me. I like all the songs on Photograph better overall, but I didn't know if that should count or not.

I put Cloud 9 as my fave George album but recently revisited ATMP and its such a fantastic listening experience that it now shades C9. A remix removing the Spector echo sounds enticing but it might take away its feel of grandour on some of the tracks. Even the jamming tracks are fun when played really loud.
Linde, definately search out John's Plastic Ono Band, very sparse sounding but breathtaking brilliant. The solo careers are a mixed bag but the good stuff is brilliant and well worth discovering (best to skip Paul's Give My Regards To Broad Street tho; says a lot that the album stinks as much as the film).

cMy favorite Beatles solo albums:
Plasic Ono Band album was close but I like the little bit of sugar coating he did on this one. Some of the rough edges were smoothed out and George does some great guitar work on three songs.
I still feel his first solo album was his best. It still had a Beatle feel to it and the fact that he played all the instruments was one if not the first of it's kind. Very laid back and well put together.
Harrison: All Things Must Pass
This is the best solo Beatle album by all four. It is interesting that a song about Krishna could be number 1 especially in 1970. So many artists contributed to this album and it has a special feel to it. Still the biggest selling solo album by far.
All four contributed to this album. Ringo was hit and miss on his solo albums but with this one he was right on with a little help from his friends.

John: Plastic Ono Band and Imagine
He dug deep into his emotions and talent and put them in these two albums
Paul: As much as I like his work with the Wings, I don't think those albums would qualify as solo albums since he was in a band. So my answer to this tricky one would have to be McCartney
George: All Things Must Pass without any hesitation
Too awesome for me to summarize!
I love how all the beatles contributed, especially the songs that George wrote.

John: Plastic Ono Band (tough call, Imagine and even Walls and Bridges are close 2nd)
Paul: Ram (followed closely by McCartney)
George: All Things Must Past (don't really like the rest of his solo stuff)
