If it is as Penny writes then it sounds kind of like the I Wanna Hold Your Hand movie from 1978 when all you saw was the occasional Beatle foot. If it is filmed in such a way that it revolves around Apple and you dont see the Beatles it might in a way make it better as you wouldnt be sitting there shouting "he looks nothing like George!" and "John never said that, get your facts right". Maybe thats just me.

I'm actually slightly disappointed in that. I sorta how accurate they could get an actor to play a Beatle.

It sounds like youre average beatle film to me, one that will be nothing special at all, probably riddled with errors, feature awful cover versions of beatles songs, and have a lot of 'artistic license' - ie lacking in actual fact.

Boy, isnt that the truth? You'd think that with all that has been documented, the errors would be at a minimum. Sadly, that is not always the case.

The bbc reports that the movie of the book 'The Longest Cocktail Party' is to be made with Michael Winterbottom as director and possibly Johnny Depp as Derek Taylor. 

JOHNNY DEPP as DEREK TAYLOR??? Wow...weird. Can't picture him playing that role, or even The Longest Cocktail Party as a movie at all.

To be serious, if Depp stars, it makes it profitable, but probably worse.
