It took me by complete surprise when I heard it from the other room.

For me, Beatles songs are a bit like Christmas songs. I usually can't listen to a changed up version of those songs, because the originals are almost always the best anyways, so why try, it's probably not going to be too good. (Sorry, I was listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album today, and by gum did he ruin quite a few of those songs.)

I didn't mind the Hello Goodbye one for Target because that was back when I was a Beatle-hater and I didn't know it was a Beatles song and I remember thinking "wow this song is amazing!"-
but the Sprint and beer commercials aggrivate me. the first few times its kinda cute but after a while it gets old and it makes it hard to listen to the song without thinking of the commercial

Other advertisement tie-ins could be The End and funeral services, Bungalow Bill with house sellers (if they specialise in Bungalows), S&M and Chains.

Old Brown Shoe might not have been the greatest song to tie in with selling a new shoe, may give the wrong message to the consumer.

See, I was thinking the intended message'd be "Replace your old brown shoe with a new pair of Nikes"

The Beatles (as usual) are here, there, and everywhere: Sprint telephone had an ad all summer with the title "All.Together.Now." , Guitar Aficionado has an article on the new VW titled "Ticket to Ride," and another recent car ad on TV had a cover of "Good Day Sunshine" ...

It goes right over the head of most people, but fun for Beatle fans.
