Oh, Paul. He has two stikes now. This, and Give My Regards to Broad Street. Must have skimed over George, but he was in the Rutles so he gets a pass. a-hard-days-night-george-8

To you mean Strikes?

I've never seen this movie, and from what everyone here has been saying, I'm glad to say that.

On a scale of 1 to Rosie O'Donnell, how horrible would you say it is?

That's not funny, dude. Use Heather Mills instead

There are movies, like The Room, that are so bad they're funny. This isn't one of them. I watched it before I was a huge fan of The Beatles and I was cringing the whole time. And I really did need to skip to the end.

I truly can't stand bad movies, so I pass.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition. John Lennon

This movie is horrible. Trust me.

But if you see it a literal video, then it's hillarious. When they sing "A Day in life", you see one of the Bee Gees combing their hair. When they sing "Carry That Weight" they carry a coffin. And when Peter Frampton sings "The Long And Winding Road" he's walking on a .. long and winding road. And when Billy Preston sings Get Back.. the dead girl… gets back… a-hard-days-night-paul-4

I wish they had included "I Am The Walrus" a-hard-days-night-john-6

As for the soundtrack, Billy Preston and Earth, Wind & Fire give decent performances. (Aerosmith are half-decent.)

I`ve heard the only good to come out of the movie was Earth, Wind & Fire`s songs.

Found a free YouTube upload, because there was no way I'm paying to see this. And even having it on in the background, it was even worse than I anticipated. Typifies everything hateable about disco. To save you the trouble, the only parts worth seeing are:

Steve Martin: 00:55:20

Earth Wind and Fire 1:16:45

(Not what I would call a highlight but) Aerosmith: 1:25:45

Billy Preston: 1:41:20

If Paul, George and Linda are in it, they're very much in disguise. :-P

Now, now...it's a terrible movie, no question. But there's no need to be badmouthing disco!

It's like anything else, there's good & bad. Bee Gees' own stuff was pretty great.

Well, I was trying to word that in a way that implied there are things to like about disco... this movie shows none of that.

Never found anything good in disco and never wanted to look deeper with the guff they play on the radio from that time period.

Oh wow I've never heard of this film before, but it sounds horrible. Am now watching those ''highlights'' and the Maxwell bit is pretty bad lmao. I quite like Earth, Wind and Fire's cover of Got To Get You Into My Life though. I've tried to go through the whole film, skipping bits, but I soon gave up. Brrr. Don't think I'll ever be able to watch it in it's entirety.

Speaking of Disco, one of the best lampoons (but it's also a love letter to) disco was Jimmy Fallon's skits on Saturday Night Live impersonating Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.  Particularly the one where Justin Timberlake joins him as Robin Gibb:

Haha, it's directly because of you that I added those Lennon pro-disco quotes to my signature in the first place, meanmr.m.! You had added some George Harrison anti-rap music quotation to yours at the time (a coupla years ago, remember?) so I figured I'd counterbalance an anti-music quotation with a pro-music one!
