Was This movie really as Bad as people say? I mean the covers were probably bad, but was the plot really bad?
I don't remember the plot. I remember the Bee Gees walking around singing with furrowed brows. See it once just because, but I don't think you'll want to see it again really soon after that.

OfflineYep, it's pretty bad. One bit made me chuckle: Steve Martin, playing Dr. Maxwell Edison, reciting his theme song in a stereotypical mad-doctor voice ('cause he sure as hell couldn't SING it) while his nurses help him prep for surgery; and he totally muffs one line while gagging on his surgical mask just as it's being attached to his face: "Rose and Valerie screaming from the mfpblmnhff…he must go free!" And that's the comedic highlight of the movie.
I haven't seen it since like 1982 and I doubt it's improved with age.

OfflineOoh, and then there's George Burns (who was a famous comedian and about 80 when he was in the movie) who actually sings "Fixing a Hole" (or at least tries to, anyways).
What the heck WAS the plot, anyways?

OfflineThere's a band who starts to make it big, and Mean Mr. Mustard doesn't like it for some reason and kidnaps the hero's girlfriend. And then I skipped to the end just to make the hurting stop, and the girlfriend was dead, and the band is sad, but Preston sings her back to life and everyone is happy. The end.

This must be where the Bee Gees and their furrowed brows come in…

OfflineI think I have worse news to share. This is just going off of IMDb, but…
apparently Paul, Linda, and George are in this movie, somehow, somewhere. WHY?
(highlight the space above. It's not super-secret, but I can't bring myself to put it out there for all to see.)

OfflineYeah its really bad. The covers are bad and the acting was bad. It was just bad. I saw it on youtube and was just confused. the "Get Back" scene with Billy Preston really made me laugh though. What he does in the scene in accordance with what happened in the scene before is just bad movie making.
Were there any lines in the movie? I don't remember any and just laughing at Frampton and the furrowed brows of the Bee Gees. Really random bad movie.
There are rumors that George and Paul are in the end scene where like every celebrity is singing. After watching the movie, you really hope the rumors aren't true.
