Incidentally, I couldn't find a good place for this, so I've broadened the film and television section to include radio links too.

Pretty cool. I'm not sure I want to be up that early on a Saturday. Do they usually repeat things like this?

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Yes, as I mentioned, it should be on the seven-day (soon to be 28 days, I believe) catchup on the BBC website, via that first link. Although there are rights restrictions for BBC TV programmes being shown internationally, they usually don't apply to radio (though there are some exceptions – see http://iplayerhelp.external.bb……dio_world).

It's possible some other station might rebroadcast it in the US, though I wouldn't know about that.

Did anyone else listen to this? I thought it was very thorough and informative – I learnt quite a bit about the encounter which I'd not heard before.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00r8b1k – it's on the website until Saturday.

Damn, I missed it, but I found this on YouTube. The Beatles aren't mentioned until the end – and I disagree with what the Scottish guy says!

Funnier? I saw a documentary on the Thrilla in Manila. I didn't care for how he treated Joe Frazier. As for this event, I doubt he was funnier, but I'd have to see it. Still photos aren't enough.
