I thought Got To Get You Into My Life was an intersting song for Macca to open with at the White House - especailly if the song is supposed to be about pot! That made me chuckle.

Jack White is the mainman in The White Stripes. I recommend De Stijl, White Blood Cells and Elephant if you like a bit of garage blues rock. Normally he's a fantastic performer but I think he chose the wrong song this time.

Also check out the Raconteurs, they are another band of his and I like them a little bit better than the White Stripes, who are also fantastic.

I wasn't too impressed with Jack White, although I do like his music and he's an incredible guitar player. But once he got to the do do do do's, he struggled a bit. I enjoyed Dave Grohl's performance, and Costello is still great and that trumpet solo was literally perfect. That was also my first time hearing the Jonas Brothers, and I didn't mind them. I wouldn't listen to them in any other situation, but they weren't bad.

Obviously Stevie was great, and Herbie Hancock is one of my favorites, but I also wasn't too impressed with Corrine Bailey Rae.

Gnik – I'm with Joe on this one - first time I ever saw/heard the JB's. They performed Drive my Car. The singing was nondescript, but Paul's back-up band was fantastic. The only parts I fast forwarded through were The Long and Boring Song by Faith Hill, Celebrations by Lang Lang and Ebony and Ivory. I'm all for racial harmony, but I just don't care for the song.

I adored the acapella Hey Jude harmonies with the band before they all went onstage.
