"US cable channel HBO will show the documentary in two parts this Autumn, before the DVD and Blu-ray version are released by Lionsgate on 10 October."

It's a classic move. Get plently of hype for George, then have Yoko use all that awareness for John's 71th, and then continue riding the attention to big sales. Classic. Olivia and Yoko would deny it, but I find it much more then coincidence.

Does that mean we get the next remaster/remix releases of John's catalogue. Its been a whole year since Imagine was repackaged. An available gap/opportunity before the 40th anniversary celebration/release of Imagine in 2012.

I'm thinking about going down to London with a friend to watch this in a cinema in Soho on October 4th. Train tickets included, we could probably go for around £30 each. I think I'm far too excited to contemplate this logically, so do you guys think it's worth it, or should I just wait a week for the DVD?

I'd do it. The DVD would cost a similar amount, and you would have much more fun at the theatre as compared to your house.

If I could see it at a cinema, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I was so hoping that it would be that way here in the U.S.

I am completely bummed that it is on HBO instead. I'm with kaleidoscopeyes in that I do not subscribe to it.
